Life brings many challenges, both big and small, that can hinder our ability to function in a way that makes us truly happy. I believe we all have the strengths we need to overcome these challenges, but sometimes it's hard to recognize those strengths when we're in the midst of what feels like chaos. Therapy is an opportunity to work collaboratively to achieve growth in a safe, judgment-free space.

I want to serve as a guide to help you navigate the challenges you may be experiencing. Today is the first day of the rest of your life and an opportunity to create change. I have experience working with both adults and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, substance use, chronic pain, trauma, difficulty managing day-to-day stress, as well as, the many other challenges life throws our way.

I believe the answers lie within you, and it is my goal to help you find them. Therapy is an incredibly personal experience, and because of that it's important that you find a therapist or counselor that is right for you. To help you in that journey, let me tell you a little about myself as well as the values that guide both my practice and my life.

About Me

She/Her/Hers

Empathetic. Loyal. Genuine. Transparent. Honest.

These are the words that describe me best. In our work together you'll discover I'm just like you. I'm human and pride myself on being my most authentic self. I believe that my own journey of personal growth helps me genuinely connect with my clients. I believe honesty and transparency are critical to our work. And it takes time, and that's okay. I've always felt a unique connection to the human experience we all share. I'm heavily influenced by Brene Brown's work and the power of vulnerability. I will do everything in my power to create a judgement-free space where you feel safe to share your most vulnerable self. My education, experience, and training has given me life-changing knowledge and tools that I want nothing more than to share with you. Here's a little more information about what my background entails.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been practicing in the beautiful Austin area for the last 17 years. What’s important to note is that all of my education and training has been in social work. If you’ve been researching therapists, one thing you’ve probably noticed is that the word “therapist” is a general term used to describe many different professionals—LPCs, LMFTs, PhDs, LCSWs, etc. One major difference between the various types of therapists is our educational background, training, and requirements for licensure. The National Association of Social Worker’s Code of Ethics states, “The mission of the social work profession is rooted in a set of core values. These core values, embraced by social workers throughout the profession’s history, are the foundation of social work’s unique purpose and perspective:

service

social justice

dignity and worth of the person

importance of human relationships

integrity

competence

This constellation of core values reflects what is unique to the social work profession. Core values, and the principles that flow from them, must be balanced within the context and complexity of the human experience.”These values represent how I choose to live my life and what I see in others. They’re also what differentiate me from other therapists licensed through different disciplines. My goal is to understand the world from your perspective, help you recognize your unique strengths, and challenge you in healthy ways to achieve the growth you're seeking in your life.
